When I go to the Firefox website and click on download, IE shuts down and nothing else happens.

I had issues with upgrading Firefox. Teh error message said that Firefox was unable to install certain upgrades. I uninstalled firefox completely, then started up IE, went to the Firefox website and clicked on the "Download Firefox" button. Then IE closes and that's the end of it. It will not let me download.
