Mozilla are aware of the issue with many Java applets not working and are working on a fix, no timescale but they are planning on a quick release.

The issue is confirmed at least with JREs 1.6.18, 1.6.23 and 1.6.24 Here is another test case: http://gs3.flyordie.com/FF3614/popup.html mentioned in bug 629030 reported on 2011-01-26 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=629030

As for me, the issue is FIXED IN 3.16.15 .
