firefox / firefox EXE problem. once in a while norton av alerts me to a virus. Network traffic from "home" (my computer) matches the signature of a known attack. The attack was a result from /DEVICE / HARDDISKVOLUME2 / PROGRAM FILES / MOZILA FIREFOX / FIREFOX.EXE

this is the report that i get.

it is trying to be sent from my own ip address.

This is not the first time Norton has reported a virus in Firefox and will probably not be the last. It is very likely another false positive from Norton.

To be sure that the file is not infected, you can upload it to the following site which will can it using multiple anti-virus engines - http://www.virustotal.com/index.html
