Where did my search feature go (Control+F doesn't work)
Up until today, I could search web pages with control+F. It stopped working today. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox and it still doesn't work. It doesn't work when I use the menu command Find.

It is possible that the screen is too high and that the find bar falls off at the bottom.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.

Does the find bar open if you press Ctrl+F or use Firefox > Find ?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

No, no find bar appears. I did try Safe Mode. It didn't work. That is why I reinstalled. Sorry for not being more clear.

I had downloaded a formfill program and somehow had put in a command for the autofill as ctrl F. this conflicted with the find bar and disallowed it from working. so i deleted that profile and it fixed the problem. there is also a program called "customizable shortcuts 0.5.8". it's an addon for firefox. you can reprogram your find key to something else that isn't being used if that is the problem and you can't find where it was taken over. the "customizable shortcuts" program doesn't tell you but you access it through your "tool" "options" menus.
