Suddenly Firefox will not connect anymore. IE does. Thunderbird does. The last thing I remember is that I went to one of my regular sites (a local news station) and a message came up saying it wanted to load something. I declined. Here's an error message from the console: Error: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/extensions/manager;1'] is undefined Source File: chrome://dotnetassistant/content/bootstrap.js Line: 33 I've run two separate virus scans, deleted some .js files, rebooted with add-ons off, deleted extensions and uninstalled and installed the whole program....... NOTHING!

It's not a virus issue. That message indicates that you have an add-on installed which is incompatible with the current version of Firefox.

You appear to have Windows 7 installed, so you should have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SPI installed. That being the case, download this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/microsoft-net-framework-assist/

Thank you for replying, but that didn't seem to do anything. Here's a report from the error console. Error: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/extensions/manager;1'] is undefined Source File: chrome://dotnetassistant/content/bootstrap.js Line: 33

Ignore my next posts. It worked. I had to shut down, not restart, for it to take effect. Thank you.
