I had many saved passwords, they are now all gone. Also, even though I have the box checked to Remember Passwords, I am not being prompted to see if I want to save or not, and passwords that I have entered earlier today [including the one for this site] are not being saved.

I have never altered the password settings in Options, this is happening since the latest update.

Thank you for the reply - I restarted FF and all the passwords were listed again. Not sure what happened, but thanks for helping.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
