I had disabled Java because of the vulnerabilities mentioned earlier in the year.

Today I downloaded and installed the latest version according to Java SE7 U9. Firefox tells me this is an outdated version when I click to check plugins are up to date. When I click on update the Java.com site tells me my Java is up to date and offers no update.

Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.90.5 is also deemed outdated by Firefox but Java offers no update.

What is going on? I have Windows 7 X64 Firefox is X32. Please help.

Sue

The Java.com site still list the previous Java 7 update 9 version as the latest, but Java 7 update 10 has been released that youcan get via the Oracle website.

See Java Platform > Java SE 7U10 or Java 6U38 (Download JRE)

This morning I once again checked my plugins in Firefox and clicked on the update link and was taken to the 7.10 update automatically. It seems the problem has been fixed on the Java website. Phew! thank goodness for that. Thanks for your answers, Sue
