Problem loading my att home page.
When I open FF 18.0.1 my att home page will not start. Instead a generic att page starts. I have to click on "sign in" and then my home page comes up. Note: all I have to do is click on sign in, I do not have to enter any data from the keyboard.
Seems that http://LOGINPRODX.ATT.NET is hanging or causing some problem.
I've cleared cookies, cache, run Purge, CCleaner, Malware, reloaded my home page to FF. No successful results on the above.
I'm running XP pro with SP 3

I read your reply last night and was going to follow your instructions this morning; however, now after a week of dealing with my issue the web page is loading normally.
I changed nothing on the system but yet it is back to normal.
The only thing I see different is that if I have multiple tabs open when I close FF only the homepage tab comes back when FF is restarted.
Sure wish other sites were as responsive as Mozilla is in working on issues. Thanks to all for your efforts.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon (ghostery?) is interfering here...
Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
Restarted three times in safe mode and the same issue still continues.
FYI: This started about 1 week ago. Prior to that att loaded fine. att also loads with no issue using IE but i will not use ie.
in this case please also try a reset of firefox (this will keep your bookmarks & passwords): Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
Thanks for the suggestions; however, this did not solve the issue. Closed FF and restarted twice after resetting. Still hanging up.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Note that a reset imports the cookies, so a reset may not be the way to deal with possible cookie issues.

Thanks to all for your input and keep it coming. FYI: My daughter is an ATT phone tech. and is also giving almost the same input.
I have cleared the cookies/cache several time. "I've cleared cookies, cache, run Purge, CCleaner, Malware, reloaded my home page to FF. No successful results on the above."
Still the same.
This seems to have started when I updated to FF 18.
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
