Greetings:

I am trying to copy 500+ user profiles from old windows 7 computers to new ones. One thing that isn't playing nicely is the Firefox bookmarks. Once a profile is copied, Firefox is run, and it does not have any of the bookmarks from the previous profile. I believe the problem is in how Firefox manages its bookmarks, and have not found a way to transfer them over. Any input is welcome.

Does other data get copied properly?

Copying the places.sqlite file should be sufficient to get the bookmarks.

Note that you need to copy the profiles.ini file as well because otherwise Firefox won't find that profile.

Cor-el: Thank you for your response. Once I saw this and copied the profiles.ini and the places.sqlite files over, it worked, then I realized that Windows 7 did not copy the AppData folder over, which was the root of the problem. Thanks.
