Since the latest Firefox, Incredimail My Start has taken over my computer! I do not have Incredimail, I do not want Incredimail. I want to ENTIRELY get rid of it altogether forever. Please give me the instructions. I cannot find it as an add on or a plug in -- I do not know WHAT it is but whatever it is I DO NOT WANT IT ON MY COMPUTER!

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

See this -http://www.incredimail.com/english/uninstall.aspx - for instructions on getting rid of both Incredimail and MyStart. Sorry, but Mozilla didn't install that "stuff" with a Firefox installation or an update, you picked that stuff up elsewhere.

If your preferences weren't fixed by uninstalling both those programs from Windows - install the Search Reset extension to reset the the homepage and the new tab pages to their default values.
