Firefox faile to restore my tabs and now they are all stuck on about:blank. How do i get it to restore them?

I tried restarting firefox but it just loaded all the tabs on about:blank again, which is not helpful...

I tried asking on IRC and someone told me to do a backup of my session store files but he dissapeared after that....

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

Erm yea my point is how do i make firefox reload the about:blank tabs...seeing as how there are hundreds of them and it would take forever to recreate them exactly.

I really dont know why firefox STILL has no inbuilt session options, like allowing me to try and reload tabs if it fails to do that.

If Firefox doesn't restore those tabs then it is likely that they are no longer in the sessionstore.js file.

You can open the sessionstore.js file in the Scratchpad (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) via "File > Open File" and click the "Pretty Print" button to format.

Try to restore a previous version of the sessionstore.js file if the current file is corrupted or missing the URLs from the previous tabs.
