Why are all the account folders created inside my inbox instead of on the same level?
Adding 2 accounts to Thunderbird it will only create the Trash, Junk, Sent, Archive, and Templates folders inside the Inbox. I want them all on the same level as the Inbox like in my other 3 accounts.

such is usually defined by the IMAP server some have then on one level others insist they hang off the inbox.
Have a look in Tools menu (alt+T) > account settings > server settings > advanced
Under personal namespace try inserting "Inbox" but make sure you enable allow the server to over ride. If it is inbox, change it to "". Sometime these work, sometimes they do not. Depends on the sever really.

OK, tried your fix but nothing changed. So used the Account Settings to remove both email accounts then went to the AppData > Roaming > Thunderbird > Profiles > user.default > ImapMail folder and deleted out the folders for those email accounts and their related .msf files. Then I looked at Advanced under Account Settings > Server Settings for my existing accounts and saw it was a different screen. Along with that puzzle piece and you mentioning the set up I was experiencing was for Imap, I recreated the accounts only this time, I went into Manual Config and noticed that the Incoming Server was set to Imap. Set it to POP3 and re-tested the connection and all was good. This corrected the problems I was having which besides all folders being created inside the inbox, email was downloading automatically when set not to, and it would do this every time you opened a folder in the Inbox. Also, was marking Junk mail and viruses as already read and there was no Junk button present to mark email as junk. Problem is fixed. Thank you for your response.
