When trying Filelink via Box, I get a confirmation message that the file is uploading, but nothing happens and after an hour it is still trying to upload.

When trying Filelink via Box, I get a confirmation message that the attchment file is uploading, but the little pending wheel spins & spins and after an hour or so it is still trying to upload. At this point I give up. I can upload OK directly to Box from their website. It used to work a few months ago. I'm on Thunderbird V 38.2.0

You may use Dropbox instead as Filelink provider. Install this add-on. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/dropbox-for-filelink/

This link does not appear to be related to an add-on that deals with Dropbox. How is this a solution to the issue?

The question was about Filelink via Box, not what alternatives there might be. There appears to be a problem with Thunderbird that has not yet been resolved (I am having the problem with Iceweasel, i.e. Thunderbird, 43.0.2). Box has stated:

Thanks for reaching Box User Services and my apology for the inconvenience.

Our Tier 2 team saw that Mozilla was aware that some plugins such as FileLink in Thunderbird used our older API calls (see Mozilla bug:https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1021684 )

Currently, it says that bug is resolved, but I found several users on Mozilla's site who are still experiencing issues uploading:https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1028560?esab=a&s=hang+%7C+npswf32_11_6_602_180.dll%400x9a7d2&r=247&as=s

Mozilla's response was that the current Thunderbird version 33 beta may be built on the current API calls. You might want to try downloading this to see if it fixes your issue:https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all-beta.html

If the issue persists, I recommend following up with Mozilla. Unfortunately, we are not able to directly troubleshoot our third party integration since they are built by outside developers.

Please let me know if you have any further questions. Kind Regards, Mary Box User Services

The standard FileLink with Box.com is not working. Is there something that I can do to help make it work? Version 38.5.1
