What should I do about getting jerky video unless I disable add-ons?

Most of the videos I watch online are jerky, like the video goes back and forth while still progressing forward. Examples are Facebook and YouTube. The audio is fine. This started about 6 months ago. I recently noticed that IE does not have this problem so I believe it is something within Firefox. I tried restarting with add-ons disabled and that worked! Now I need to know which add-on I need to permanently disable. I'm running Windows 7 and Firefox 41.0.1. I also tried to update my Flash player but even after an update it would still tell me that it needed to be updated. I did it 3 times before giving up.

Hello, drtoner, see the Test for faulty extensions to find which add-on is the problem.

BUT please first, turn off hardware acceleration to see if the problem is hardware acceleration and not an add-on.

thank you
