You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.

Google is no longer the default in any language ever since Firefox 34.0 Release however it is still one of the options in list to choose from.

Mozilla has been getting away from Google as the change in default search engines is one of those steps. https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/11/19/promoting-choice-and-innovation-on-the-web/

google is still the default engine set in most countries of the world as by the blog entry you have mentioned there...

While we have decided to not renew our agreement for global default placement, Google will continue to be a pre-installed search option.

Is still in the list of choices yes however Google is no longer the default for any locale.
