Firefox performance issues after latest update 50.0
I have been using Firefox version 42.0 for a while and didn't update since then until 3 days ago to the latest version 50.0
I noticed now that it has become very unstable, it freezes and becomes unresponsive for a few seconds while navigating through the bookmarks, also when i open multiple tabs it becomes unresponsive and i can't do anything until all tabs are loaded. And when i navigate through the tabs, i notice it takes a few seconds to show the page which was already loaded.
I have tried using both Firefox 64-bit and 32-bit versions on the same profile, disabled add-ons (Safe Mode), created a new profile to no avail. Didn't update other programs or the operating system (Windows 8.1) before and after updating Firefox.
I tried using version 42.0 again and there were no problems.

Thanks for the quick response, no i haven't tried that yet, i'm downloading it now and will report back.
A quick question, is it OK to use a single profile for multiple Firefox versions? or i should copy the profile for each version?
i think it's ok using the same one with 49, 50 & 51 - however i wouldn't recommend downgrading with the same profile across many versions, since this will case issues as firefox changes the storage format for bookmarks, passwords etc. and these databases only get converted to the new format at the first time you update...

Understood, yeah i actually have a separate profile for the 42 version.
