How to stop email migration from one email account to another

I had 2 email accounts on Thunderbird -- one Hughesnet and one gmail. Hughesnet was set to migrate new emails to gmail because the Hughesnet account was going to be discontinued. The Hughesnet account has now been deleted (at least I thought so because it no longer shows) from Thunderbird. But I am still receiving Hughesnet emails in my gmail inbox. How do I permanently delete Hughesnet from Thunderbird so it won't keep migrating new emails to gmail -- most of them are spam.

Either the Hughes account is forwarding to the Gmail account, or Gmail is collecting messages from Hughes on your behalf. I don't think Thunderbird is involved here.
