due to touchscreen issues, i did a factory reset from recovery on my android tablet. i reinstalled firefox, from the FTP server, the same version i was using before (i think). this is firefox 39.0 on android 4.4. my sync was signed in and working fine before the reset. i also have an android 4.something running firefox 38.0.1, syncing just fine, and my pc running firefox 43.0.2, also syncing fine. when i tried to log into the sync account on the tablet, i get the error message "there was a problem", which is very unhelpful. i have tried: -restarting tablet -uninstall and reinstall firefox -go to the "accounts" page on the mozilla site and log in there- on the tablet it just says "working" forever -going to the account manager on pc, removing old copy of the tablet -uninstalling all add-ons on tablet

i am 99.9% sure i have my password correct, and the error doesnt say "incorrect password or anything. what does this error indicate? could i have gotten security locked out of my account without notification? are older versions of firefox not able to connect any more (i really dont want to be forced to upgrade)? could this error because by having flash player enabled in android?

please provide any ideas, i've been fighting with this for a week now, i will check this post regularly.
