Can't carry forward 'Sent' messages after change from POP to IMAP.

I use Tbird 31.8.0. About a month ago, I changed my four E-mail accounts from POP to IMAP. Before the changeover, I copied my Sent messages to local folders. After the change, I copied Sent messages to Sent folders for all four accounts. All the Sent messages showed up when I accessed them; however, when I looked at the Sent on a different account, and went back to the first account, all the copied messages had disappeared - except for those on my first account - all those are shown. Any ideas?

Did you do the moving/copying inside Thunderbird, or outside, in your file manager?
