How to turn back the new tabs with big thumbnails? The new update turned them really small and I would like to customize it back like the previous version.
Hi. Now with the new Firefox Quantum update, the new tab change drastically. Before the tabs have big thumbnails making it easier to see what the webpages look like which made it also easier to navigate and press. Now with the new update, the thumbnails shranked just filling in right at the center of the tab. Is it possible for me to customize just the new tab page just like the previous versions? I love the new Firefox Quantum update by the way, it's just unsettling the usual tabs in the new tab is not what I see anymore. Thanks!

Hi !
If you want the 'old' New Tab page back, would you do this please :
Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promist to be careful, if asked)
Type in the search bar and look for the preference :
browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.enabled
and set its value to false
Then close and restart Firefox.
this seems broken again in 60.
why do they have to keep mucking about with people's settings?!
Again, this got broken in the latest Firefox 60 version. Toggling nor resetting browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.enabled from about:config does not change anything.

Yes, in Firefox 60 the New Tab Page AND the default about:home were changed to have smaller images. And that is after the changes that were made for Firefox 57 Quantum back in Nov 2017.
Nothing is "broken" and user settings haven't been changed; it's a new way of displaying the information on those two internal pages.
browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.enabled from about:config doesn't work in Firefox 60. As it turns out, that was a temporary preference that only worked in 57, 58, & 59, and now it's gone. And for the users who did change that pref, it will still show up in about:config as "userset" but won't do anything - the underlying code which supported it is gone.
personally, if it changed from something I liked to something I don't like, and can't find a way to change back, I consider it BROKEN!
