I'm using "lantern" from google. Each time I had to switch the proxy setting between "auto detect...." and "use system setting". I used to do this by access to pref service from Add-on. Now it seems we do not have access to pref service. How to switch this dynamically in Web-ext?

BTW, I have to curse the Web-ext and miss my Add-ons!

Here this is a End User FF forum help that isn't in the roll of helping with VPN usage that is between you and Latern to assist you with your VPN usage.

Here's why from what searched and found: Lantern is a free and open-source peer-to-peer internet censorship circumvention tool

So that means FF isn't the party you should be directing that message to.

If this isn't it I will fix it.

I think you misunderstood me completely. I should not have mentioned the name "Lantern", which seemed misleading. I need a solution to change the setting of "proxy" of FF by means of WebExt. (Before, I did this by Add-on.)

This API is available for version 59 and up.

Here's the documentation.
