I just want to sync two windows PCs NOT a mobile phone, why do I need to enter a mobile number?
I have two PCs set up already with firefox accounts, I am logged into both accounts, the new computer imported my add ons but not my bookmarks or passwords and I cant sync them

Thanks for the speedy response jscher2000 but its all good now...turns out a simple restart solved the problem. I literally just built a new PC and only just set up the sync account on the old PC a few minutes before setting up the new pc and signing in for the sync...some lag / propagation is expected, I guess just constantly being confronted with the mobile log in screen is a bit off putting. I use firefox on my mobile but dont want to sync it between by PCs or give another corporation my mobile number. Thanks again

Hi disent, that window is encouraging you to install Firefox on a mobile device. However, you don't need a mobile device to set up and use a Firefox Account.

I assume you mean that you have one Firefox Account (same email address) and both PCs are logged in to that one account.
One possible explanation is that it's unusually slow. If your first computer wasn't previously on Sync for some amount of time, it may take a while yet for the data to be transferred to the cloud in the first place. I don't know why it's sometimes slow.
But there might be a technical problem. Could you check for any new error messages that appear in the "Browser Console" when you trigger a Sync?
You can open the separate Browser Console window using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Web Developer > Browser Console
- (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Browser Console
- (Windows) Ctrl+Shift+j
Click the trash can icon at the upper left to clear the window, then switch back over to your main window and try the Sync Now button.
Then switch back over to the console window. Did Firefox log any errors or other messages related to that action?
More info on the Browser Console: https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Tools/Browser_Console
Actually, you may have a historical log already. Could you type or paste the following internal page name into the address bar and press Enter to load it:
about:sync-log
Do the recent logs indicate any particular errors?

I have no idea what any of this means, all I know is that nothing is synced.
