TAB Crash Report

Report ID: bp-433c5ab3-b4ad-40d6-9dc3-11ffb0210424

I have suddenly started to experience a TAB crash in FireFox when browsing in private browsing mode. The crash happens on a specific page, and occurs almost 100% of the time.

I'm developing a web application, and I want to view the application in private mode as I switch between QA, PreProd and local development environments.

I have not yet experienced the issue in normal mode.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

The problem is no longer there when I restart Firefox in safe mode.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or it could be Hardware Acceleration. How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All Of them.

If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.

Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.

Did you have the developer tools open when the crash happened as that could have contributed to your issue ?

See this bug that got fixed and uplifted to Firefox 89.

Yes I had developer tools open.

But, I've had developer tools open all this while without issue. Suddenly TAB crashed on a specific page, and continued to crash, only on that one page, even when developer tools was closed. Since running Firefox is safe mode, and switching back to normal mode, I can't reproduce the crash.
