Firefox updates have become downdates.
I have stopped using your updates to Firefox as you have taken away features. No longer is there a History icon and thank goodness the Ctrl+H still works. Am afraid to update as more features may be taken away.

Went ahead and did the Firefox update and found the History Icon. It may have been there all along as it had moved on the menu bar. It still does not have the option for the History Sidebar like it used to. Thank goodness CTRL+H still works. I consider the problem solved although I don't know why they would take away the option I mentioned on the History Icon. Thank you to all the people who responded and helped with my problem.

Ctrl+H opens the sidebar. There is a Sidebars toolbar button you can add to the toolbar from the Customize panel. There is an optional History menu button (it looks like a clock).
I used to have that icon but it is not offered anymore in customize toolbar. Unless the new update to Firefox offers it and am afraid to use new update as a past one took it away. New update may take more away.
It should be there.
Some toolbar buttons aren't shown anymore by default useless they had been used. This includes the Home and the Library (bookshelf) and Sidebar toolbar buttons and in such a case you need to drag them yourself from the customize palette to the Navigation Toolbar. If you do not see a button in the Customize palette then click "Restore Defaults">.

It used to be on my menu bar but is gone due to a previous Firefox update. It is not even in my Customize Toolbar option. I used to always update when Firefox notified a new one is available. Am reluctant to do the latest update Firefox has as more options may disappear. Am glad Ctrl+H still works and hope it does not go away. Can you guarantee me that if I do the latest update the History icon will reappear on my menu bar or on the Customize Toolbar option and I will not lose anymore current features???
Did you try to click Restore Defaults like I wrote above ?
