I used to be able to zoom in the preview or composition panels by ctrl-wheel, ctrl plus or minus, or pinch and move on my screen or touchpad. With the last couple of updates the pinch-zoom feature no longer works. Can this please be restored?

Ctrl+wheel or +/- works here as before. Does it work in safe/troubleshoot mode (hold Shift when launching TB)?

All the other zoom options work. Just not pinch-zoom. It also does not work in safe mode.

I think it's probably due to the touchpad software being updated to an incompatible version or not being updated to a compatible version.

Do you mean in the driver? Or in Thunderbird? The pinch-zoom works everywhere else including in Firefox. I should note that I am using Firefox 56.0.2. If I upgrade to a newer version of Firefox then one of my plugins (Video Download Helper) no longer works.

Oddly enough, the pinch-zoom works if I hold down the ctrl key. Something that was not required before.

Yes, it might be the touchpad driver or software. Video DownloadHelper appears to work in FF 57 and higher.

What's your version of TB? Pinch-zoom works here with a touchpad on TB 91.4. It works with or without holding Ctrl.

It seems that pinch-zoom still works, except I now have to hold the ctrl key down during. So whatever change was made to Thunderbird (my other apps still work as before) I now require two hands instead of one. Not an improvement.
