Good day to you,

I am looking for help with hopefully what is a basic problem that can easily be resolved on my Thunderbird e-mail.

I have been unable to connect to my account for 4 days with pop-s from G Mail telling me on my phone: “Credentials needed. Enter credentials for my e-mail address.”

On my desktop I am getting the following message: "Enter your password for your e-mail on mail.madasafish.com. Use Password Manager to remember this password. Sign In." For some reason I couldn't paste or attach the screenshot.

I have been entering the password over these last few days, but with no success, knowing that I have the correct password having checked on my saved passwords for Thunderbird.

I would appreciate it if somebody could help.

I am not quite sure what your situation is. There is a help article from Gmail - "Check Gmail through other email platforms", that may help you check the basic settings are right in Gmail and Thunderbird if you are attemptng to connect to Gmail from Thunderbird. However - you said you were using your phone for Gmail, so I am not sure whether that was in Thunderbird? If you are using OAuth2, the message may actually be asking for your 'one time' authentication credential, not the password. Hard to tell without seeing a screen shot. Please try to capture an image of your pop-up prompt and add it using the Add Images link below Post a reply. Or check this previous question - is your pop-up the same? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1356849 (See in that question that Thunderbird needs to be set to Accept Cookies if you are using OAuth2) You mention Gmail on your phone and Madasafish presumably in Thunderbird. In what way are Gmail and Madasafish connected? If you get a Google Account pop-up when attempting to use Madasafish, that may be OAuth2 authentication.
