One site (with password protection) suddenly no longer loads (after Update from 97.0 to 97.0.1)
- The requested page is an internal web application with password protection - This page worked well until the update to Version 97.0.1 - The fixes named in the change log of Version 97.0.1 do not give a hint (maybe "Works around problems with WebRoot SecureAnywhere antivirus rendering Firefox unusable in some situations (bug 1752466)"???) - After entering the login credentials the login appears again and again (the password is correct!) - After cancelling the password dialog the site only shows fragments of the page - But: The same web application on another server still works as expected (also internal, having the same password protection)
There seems to be a problem with authentication. But I just cannot identify what has changed in Version 97.0.1 causing these problems...
Btw: On Chrome Edge everything is fine, no problems.
Has anyone an idea?

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or blocked cookies.
- check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, DuckDuckGo PE, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for rllm# about blocked content.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
cor-el, thank you for your comprehensive troubleshooting guide.
I went through all suggestions but alas, none of them worked for me.
Meanwhile I asked colleages: all of them who are using FF Version 97.0.1 now experience the same problem. I even deleted this Version and reinstalled 97.0 - and everything was fine again ...
The problem is: I cannot stick on v97.0 all time. I hoped that someone knew what has been altered in 97.0.1 that may cause this problem. Hopefully me and many many colleages do not have to abandon Firefox ... (as all other tested browsers work with that web application).
Looking forward to getting helpful ideas to solve this issue .. :)
I wonder what might have changed from 97.0 to 97.0.1. Does anyone have an idea?!
