Bookmarks and Password recovery
Greetings
I have recently formatted my disk and installed a new OS. Of course, I have a firefox account which is supposed to sync all of my data. Unfortunately, I used a securely generated password for my firefox account and didn't think about changing the password or saving it to somewhere safe, so I had to reset the password to access the account on my new OS. Now everything is gone, and restoring the bookmarks through the Import and Backup option does not do anything. Is there any way to get my data back, or am I cooked?
Thanks in advance

Sync isn't used for backup it's to sync from device to sync server back to another device. When you reinstalled your OS and failed to backup the bookmarks, profile, login data and then synced back to Mozilla account anything that was there before was deleted and replaced with the new data. At this point there nothing any users can do to help at this point.
Hi, since you've reset your password without a recovery key, and you don't have a device with local instance of these data, it looks like you're cooked. A recovery key is required to reset your password without losing synced encrypted data.
Pls read How to change or reset your Mozilla account password.
