how to make new tab show most recently viewed/closed sites?

I am using 3.6.12 Firefox/Yahoo edition 1.7 I used to see the previously closed sites when I open a new tab. But it is now showing only blank "Untitled"? How can I change it to show the recently viewed/closed sites.
