keep the home icon, tabs, reload/stop button as it was in 3.6. In version 4, I have to move the mouse all over the screen; Is there preference in 4.0 so I can chose where to have those?

Right-click on a toolbar, select Customize, you can then drag and drop the icons and place them where you want.
