I can't for the life of me get my selected "Start Page", no matter what option I select to load when starting firefox.

Regardless of the option I pick, "Firefox Start", "Current Page", "Custom Page", it always starts with the last tab I viewed in previous session.

I close out of firefox using Advanced Task Killer. Restart it, see "loading" screen, and it just goes to the last page I was on.

This is driving me crazy!

To force Firefox to show your home page on startup:

  1. Type "about:config" in the address bar, then press Enter/Go on your keyboard
  2. Search for "crash"
  3. Tap on "browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash"
  4. Tap on the toggle button to change it from "true" to "false"

Thank you, that did it. I'm surprised there isn't a user friendly option for that somewhere.

What is the point of the Start Page setting if it is not active upon install? You would never see the Start Page.

If Firefox exits normally (using the Quit Firefox add-on, for example) instead of crashing or being forced to quit, then it will show the start page. Or if it is killed by the OS and stays inactive for more than 60 minutes, then it will show the start page instead of the previous tabs.

The solution worked ok after re-booting the phone.

I installed the Home Links add-in and now have a home button. Yay! (The button is on the left frame, outside the page.)
