Let's say that I browsed through five pages and I want to go to the 4th one. I used to be able to click on the arrow in the menu bar to see that last pages browsed, now it shows pages I go to most frequently, where did the other pages go?
In the previous version of Firefox, I used to be able to browse any number of pages - for example, let's say I went to google. I started a search and then went to one of the links, browsed around the site for a while (each page registering in the history) and then I wanted to go back to the original google search. In the OLD version of Firefox, all I had to do was go to the arrow at the end of the navigation window, and I'd see all the places I had been and I could select one to go back to it. Now, when i hit that down arrow, I see an list of pages I go to frequently, not the pages I've been to in backward order. I really miss that feature. I am using 4.0.1.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker
Hi Tony, Your answer to the above helps get to the most recently visited pages, but I'm also looking to stop/hide bookmarked pages from showing in the bar. I had an Add-On that worked great "Hide Unvisited" but it's not compatible w/ 4.0. It stopped the bookmarks that you haven't visited (since deleting or clearing history) from showing up in the bar and only showed the recent pages. I wish FireFox did this automatically. Do you know of anything like this for 4.o?
