Is Firefox 8 Compatible with Upromise, Firebug, and FireSync?

more options

I'm interested in upgrading to Firefox 8 (as part of my process of really syncing my browser on all of my devices).

Can you tell me if Upromise Turbosaver, Firebug, and FireSync are compatible with Firefox 8? Are there specific versions I should look for? (Upromise, for example, lists that Turbosaver is compatible with Firefox 6, even though it also runs under Firefox 7... that's why I'm checking with you.)

If the answer is no on these Extensions, can I still download Firefox 7? Where?

Did you mean Firefox Sync? That addon is not supported only because Sync is now built-in to Firefox, so you don't need it. If it was a different add-on, then maybe you could use the built-in sync function instead.

And to answer the second part of your question, Firefox 7 is not supported (it is lacking security fixes that are in Firefox 3.6.24 and Firefox 8), so if you can't upgrade to 8, stick with what you have for the moment.

Hi Leslie-

Upromise's TurboSaver is compatible with Firefox 8 and 9 and will soon be compatible with 10 when that debuts later this month. Glad to hear you like TurboSaver as much as we do!
