It occurs on every attempt to start. I've tried the private browsing mode too, it crashes as well.

Problem solved. I cleared both borwser's cache, deleted temporaly files, and browser history. I've removed Firefox user profile directory completely. Then I've restarted the notebook. After windows booted up, Firefox was able to run in safe mode. I closed it, then a normal mode launch was succesful as well. Backup settings were successfully restored.

Problem solved, thanks all of you for the help.

Hi!

thanks for trying to help, but many of the links you posted is dead. And as I already stated, Firefox won't start in safe mode. I use Firefox with the very default settings (no themes, no addons but the Quickproxy Quickproxy.

I note you provided a Crash ID and have looked up the details

  • Report for CrashID ea6390dc-e1fa-41c1-bf19-69a242120221
    • Signature: nsTArray<nsRefPtr<gfxFontFamily>, nsTArrayDefaultAllocator>::AppendElements<nsRefPtr<gfxFontFamily> >(nsRefPtr<gfxFontFamily> const*, unsigned int) | gfxFontFamily::AddFontEntry(nsRefPtr<gfxFontEntry>) </li>
    • not showing any related bugs

Maybe you should consult your IT people, or is that you!

I note system info aside is indicating Win7 Enterprise, and the crash report mentions Cisco VPN. I did not try to look up the extensions in use, but are you able to try in safe mode and with plugins disabled.

The links posted by Vivek.Wilfred all work for me.

Is the problem computer one owned by and setup by yourself, or is it for instance a works computer that you are using a home that your IT department set up.

Please try again in safe mode. Please paste into your next message another couple of CrashIDs the latest ones you have, lets see if the signature differs.

What exactly happens when you try to start in safe mode ?
if it crashes please post the crash IDs

Thanks for the reply. Please stop saying "try safe mode", it results the very same crash as a normal mode launch. I've tried doing from command prompt, and by holding SHIFT as well, same results. Exactly the same thing happens. Report crash window pops ASAP.

Cisco VPN is a virtual network adapter created by the vpn software my frim using. I can't even touch it. The comp itself is a notebook installed and supported by my firm. Firefox itself isn't supported by our helpdesk, however its allowed to use, so they can't and won't help. They said too, they won't even touch the vpn soft until its working. I've asked them if there was a domain policy / active directory updates yesterday by any chance, but they said there wasn't a such thing this week. I really doubt i could originate this problem to a concrete installation/update. The current version is the 10.0.2, and the update run on the 17th February, and there were 2 days in work I used it with many restarts, shutdowns, boots without any problems.
