Updated the browser, and something that isn't typically supposed to change, changed. Help?

After updating Firefox, a preference of mine was suddenly changed, and I don't know how to reverse it. When I view a downloaded picture on a new tab, it's most commonly placed to the upper left corner, and the area around it is entirely white. After updating, this changed; the picture is now centered in the middle, and the area around it is dark gray. This bothers me, and I can't seem to fix it.

it's by design. You can install an extension that will revert that change. It is called Old Default Image Style.

  1. Go to Firefox > Tools > Add-ons, to open the Add-ons Manager.
  2. Select the Get Add-ons panel.
  3. Search for Old Default Image Style.
  4. It should be the first result. Just click on the [Install] button.

You can look at this extension to set your preferred background color and remove the centering.
