I have the program digsby on my windows 7 HP laptop, for some reason, just recently when ever the facebook digsby chat is open, firefox begins opening tabs?
I don't use firefox so when this issue began I tried uninstalling it, however this is my stepdad's laptop and I need the administrative rights to do that (which I didn't need to install it when I did prefer firefox) I don't even know what is being opened because whatever it is, is blocked by microsoft family safety filter, and it doesn't just open one tab, it opens infinite tabs until I close the chat which is hard to do while a new tab is being opened in the browser every half second or so. please help?!

Let me make sure I understand this: you are using Facebook in Chrome, you open chat, and the digsby program starts opening Firefox windows. Is that correct?
Is Firefox set as the default browser on the PC? If so, change your default browser to Chrome.
Is it possible that the chat window is pushing some kind of download that is mistakenly set to open in Firefox at the Windows level? What kind of address is showing up in the unwanted Firefox tabs?
http://serve.digsby.com/rubicon.html?utm_campaign=rubicon&utm_medium=im_window&utm_source=digsby_client&utm_content=120_real_focus is what is being opened but as I said I have no clue what that is because it's blocked on my account by microsoft family safety, as is facebook on an internet browser, which is why I use digsby for facebook, but when the chat pops up or even if I open it myself that url is opened in a ton of tabs in firefox, which is my default browser but I also cannot change this without admin rights.
That links gives me this banner: http://assets.rubiconproject.com/campaigns/100/58/49/7/1292532467house_leaderboard_digsby.gif
Does Windows have Firefox set as the default application to open GIF files?
No, when I ope GIF files they appear in Internet Explorer. So basically digsby is spamming me some how when I open facebook chat?
I'd be guessing... what do you think about trying their support?
sadly that, for what ever reason, is also blocked on my account...
Sounds like you need to negotiate this with whoever has locked down the computer!
yeah thanks for the help though!
You can try to rename (or delete) the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all file actions.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
