I am new to Firefox. Before I used IE and I recorded a lot of Favorites with 24 folders each of them having one or more subfolders. At the same time I am migrating from XP to W7 on a different PC. I copied all my favorites into C:/USER/Jacques/Favoris (IE architecture) Then I attempted to import my favorites to the FF bookmark. The 13 first folders have been added, and the 11 other are not included. My understanding is that the maximum folders FF can import is 13. I have a screen shot where I show the side by side the bookmarks and my former IE favorites but cannot add it to this post... Thanks for a rapid solution to stay with FireFox. J. Bouchard

1. In Internet Explorer, export your bookmarks in HTML format.

2. In Firefox, import your bookmarks in HTML format.

Hello, thanks for your answer. Yes it solved the problem, now all my IE favorites are in the markPage. So, why in the import/export tab we find a way to import IE favorites? I suggest it is changed to a pointer to the correct procedure we can find in the forum and that you pointed me to ? Thanks anyway, it works.

There seems to be problem using the auto-import feature when Firefox is first installed and the Import Data from Another Browser menu item when importing favorites from IE9 and later (or with Vista and later), when the folder structure of IE favorites is many folders deep. Also, some users have mentioned that import only worked as far as L or M before stopping.
