How do I remove advertizing hyperlinks that appear on every webpage?

Some kind of malware has infiltrated our system. On every webpage there are words that are underlined and in color. They appear to be hyperlinks for that webpage, but in fact are advertising hyperlinks. If you move the mouse to that word, an advertisement pops up. I tried to reset Firefox but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
