As far as replacements for Flash Player go, your options are Gnash and Lightspark.

Shumway which will be included in Firefox in the future, is still in development and has a long way to go.

But if you have the required Gstreamer dependencies, you can play videos on many sites in HTML5 format.

Also, YouTube supports HTML5 (and there is a way to get VLC to play Flash YouTube videos as well).

Thank you very much for the reply If you do not mind can you provide a bit more information: What do you recommend Gnash or Lightspark.

For cases where the Flash 12+ plugin is required your only option might be to use Google Chrome that comes with its own pepper based plugin version that still gets updates from Adobe.

It looks that Lightspark (last updated in 2013) is the best option, although you may have to install Gnash as well.

Thank you for the reply Sadly I do not have good results so far with Gnash and Lightspark. as far as I know there is no way to use pepper flash with Firefox. Would be great if I am wrong.

I think i should give up on this.
