Hi everybody,

I like Thunderbird a lot (also Firefox), I'm using for 8 years now.

But now I've bought a Nokia Lumia 830 = Windows Phone.

I would like to find a way to sync everything in Thunderbird - Mails, Contacts, Calender - with my Windows Phone, in both directions.

I don't want to switch to Outlook 2013 only because of synchronization.

I've done research: There isn't a easy way, if one exists at all.

Has anyone managed this synchronization yet?

Thanks a lot

Hutson

Lets see your phone synchronises mail (IMAP)_ with a server. So does Thunderbird.

Calendar is the same thing, any caldav calender server will synchronize both.

Contacts that is on a provider by provider basis. I discuss outlook.com here http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/sync-hotmailoutlookcom-contacts-with.html

Keep in mind that there are standards for synchronizing all of the things you mention. However Microsoft is very cavalier about ignoring the existing standards to role out their own patented proprietary protocols. If your phone only syncs with Outlook, there is another $120 for Microsoft. They have had a very long history with vendor lock-in. They call it innovation.
