Issues with running script. Works in other browsers but not Firefox

more options

On Amazon Seller website, certain listings pop up with this error:

"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

Script: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/javascripts/lib/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.min.js:71"

No matter what option you select on the pop up, it keeps repeating the message. These same sites work on Safari on the same computer. Already checked for updates, cleared cache and cookies on Firefox. Also deleted Firefox and reinstalled, issue still occurs.

What else can you suggest or will this hopefully be fixed in a future update.

Although that error references the problem line in the script as line 71, that line actually has numerous commands in a compressed form that is very hard to read, so I can't see immediately what the issue might be.

In case one of your extensions is involved, have you tested the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run

After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset).

Any difference?
