Flash is crashing Firefox

more options

FF was acting normally all day, including YouTube. I viewed some instructional videos, and they played fine. Then in the evening, I went to YouTube, and FF started crashing constantly. Sometimes a video would play for a few seconds before crashing, other times FF would crash as soon as I clicked on something. I changed absolutely nothing, no settings, nothing since when it was working fine earlier in the day. Sometimes it crashes even when I'm not playing any video. I assume that some video on the site I'm on probably started automatically (ads).

I've been looking through tons of questions, threads, etc. The only thing I can find is that it's probably related to Flash. I've uninstalled it (v17), reinstalled v18, hardware acceleration is off, Windows updated, etc. I can't find anything else to try.

Below are the crash reports. There's only four because usually when FF crashes I usually don't take the time to submit the report, so these are all from today:

One of the crash reports noted this: Related Bugs

But I can't figure out what to do to fix it. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay. I've been messing with this problem for so long, I needed to actually work for awhile. The above so-called Chosen Solution didn't work. It was fine that evening, but started crashing again the next day.

Currently, the only way I can keep FF from crashing is to disable Shockwave Flash. Which is unacceptable, as I have a business to run. The latest update of Webroot includes a password manager, and Googling told me that this manager can conflict with LP, so I removed it. Currently LP is not installed.

I activated Flash again, and FF crashed almost immediately. No videos were playing. In fact, I went to checkmark an email so I could delete it, and FF crashed. When I brought FF back up again, I noticed that Flash had disabled itself. bp-39d158cc-c2ed-409b-857a-7c0672150621

I enabled Flash again, then went to YT. As soon as I clicked on a video, FF crashed. bp-b257b226-042e-4670-8482-30d422150621

Since LP is not part of the equation at this point, and FF runs fine with Webroot installed and Flash disabled, I'm concluding that Flash is the problem. Can anyone tell me what the latest crash reports say?

This is Not a cure, but it will let you load the web pages,

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it

Check Webroot for updates. After doing the above, if there is still a problem, disable Webroot.

BTW, have you update your Flash Player Version 18.0.0.160

These new crashes (signature "GlobalFindAtomW") are very similar to the previous crashes (signature "_SEH_prolog4").
