I can access emails via Internet Explorer (which I hate) but have always used Firefox. This week Firefox refuses to connect to BT Yahoo, saying in is wrongly configured and unsafe. BT say it is Firefox error, not theirs. Why has this happened and what can I do?

The System Detail list next to the question shows that you run an older Firefox version that is no longer supported with security updates. Always update Firefox and Add-ons to the latest versions to get all security fixes.

Please update to the current Firefox 45.0.1 release.

Does the error page have an "Advanced" button on it? If so, could you click that button and copy/paste the more detailed error information from that section?

I couldn't find a home page for BT Yahoo, but Google search turns up this login URL, which is through the main Yahoo site -- I don't know whether this is applicable to your account:
