I dont know what I used as FIPS 140 password many months ago. No I am setting Firefox in Icelandic up again but cannot use it because of this question. Can I do something about it or do I still have to use Chrome ?

What reason did you have to enable FIPS 140?

The only way to undo FIPS 140 is to delete logins.json and key3.db in the Firefox profile folder. You will lose all passwords stored in the Password Manager.
