Firefox history not detailed enough
When I type in a word to search in Firefox history, it only reveals to me websites with that word in the title or if I've searched for that particular word previously.
Let's say I did a search for gorillas and read an article I found on gorillas and there was a mention of Harambe in the article on the page I visited.
Later on when I want to find that article but can't remember what to look for; if I type 'Harambe' in the history search bar, it won't find for me the article on gorillas.
Google Chrome history would actually find any page I visited that contained the word Harambe, Firefox would require me to search for gorillas to find the article.
Is there an app so I can get a more detailed history search feature?
If not I may as well go back to Chrome as I often need to revisit sites from words I read in the articles on the page.

Hmm, so possibly Chrome doesn't do that any more. When you get a chance to test, if you find the feature, let me know where it is.

Firefox matches characters in the title and/or URL of the page.

Really, wow. How do they do that?? (Off to experiment...)
Hmm, Google Chrome history doesn't work that way for me. Are you using menu > History (Ctrl+h) or some other method? Maybe I've modified a privacy setting somewhere.
Anyway, Firefox's normal history function does not allow searching page contents, you would need an add-on for that. Maybe something along these lines that allows you to make a fully searchable offline copy of interesting pages:
It has been a few years since I used Chrome but I'm pretty sure I'd always find the result I was looking for using Chrome history and it would search pages, granted, a lot of results did show up during searches iirc.

I haven't installed Chrome on my home computers, they had Chrome at the last place I worked and I recall the history search feature was always better.
If they've dropped their game then I may as well stick with FF or find an app to make it better.

I chose Firefox because I think Chrome won't serve my purpose. Or would it? Please have a look at my question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1152310
