At least once a day, when I open Firefox, I get multiple "install addon" tabs asking me to allow installation for each of these plugins. I've used FF for years, as well as these plugins. The first thing I did was delete plugins that I wasn't using, no change. If I ignore it and just close the tabs, that plugin isn't available to me, until the next day or so, and I get the multiple tabs again, and the opportunity to install once again. When I click allow installation, Roboform and AllInOne simply disappear, but Adblock and Xmarks require a restart. Then once I restart, I am good for the rest of the day. Screenshots attached. scratch that, upload wouldn't work. I uploaded them to box at this link https://app.box.com/s/anvcihngysbh76y17l0w8m6g3p7mli5p

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Delete all extensions*.* files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.

See "Corrupt extension files":

You will have to approve the updating one last time.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Thanks Fred! I followed your directions, they were crystal clear. I'll monitor it for a day or two and hopefully there will be no reoccurence.

Happened again, just a few minutes ago. Had actually been using FF all evening, but I closed all my tabs and then reopened, and the install addon tabs popped up again. :/ I'll try a uninstall/reinstall when I get a chance, thats usually first thing to try, unless you call me off to try something else. Thanks
