Hello,

Ever since the last update (I think) to 57.0, I am no longer able to resize my browser. I can doubleclick to go into full screen, but the cursor doesn't change to the resize icon when hoovering over any of the edges. The bar is black, tabs are there but are only shown after you click on them.

I've run FF in safe mode, , normal and private browsing, disabled all the addons (which are only ghostery, adblock, ublock and a password manager) and removed flash but nothing changed the results.

Any idea how to solve this?

It wouldn't let me attach the screenshot in the first post, so here it is.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Starting up in Safe Mode made the entire browser sort of transparent. It's there when you click on the desktop, but disappears when you release the mouse button. I;ve never seen anything like that. I did a fresh install, same problem of the black bars. Computer related? (I'm on my work pc).

I called for more help.

Check with your IT and make sure Firefox is not blocked.

Reinstalling version 57 resulted in the same black bars. I did a rollback to version 56 and the issue isn't present there.

This to inform you.

Good to hear. Hopefully, someone knows what the problem is.
