Not Getting Emails
For some reason I am not getting emails from my wife's Thunderbird account. I am receiving all other emails that I know of and my wife's account is receiving my emails.
I have reentered her address in my Earthlink web mail address book. But I still do not get her forwarding emails, cc's or direct emails.

Login to your webmail account which you access via a browser. Are they visible ? check to see whether the server filter has been auto putting her emails into eg: Spam folder.
If you use a POP mail account, then only emails in the server 'Inbox' will get downloaded, so if the server put them in Spam, then they cannot get downloaded.

Here emails finally came through - many hours after sending. Strange other email come through right away, not sure why her's are so delayed.
My emails to her are also going through right away.
I had a Chat session with Earthlink - I was in formed of a Nation Wide latency issue with there server wich is affecting a "few" peopel. They said they have no time frame when things will be back to "normal"
I asked why this situation is not posted on there support - they said they did not post it because it is only affecting a "few" people.
When I asked how can it only be affecting a few people, if it's a nation wide issue - I got no reply. I told them it's Earthlinks responsibility to notify it's customers of ANY & ALL outages/issues, I again got no reply.
They said I should check for incoming email every 4-6 hours - Like DUH!!
Does anyone know of another Web Mail that can also be used with Thunderbird?

GMX, Gmail, AOL, hotmail/outlook.com, Yahoo, yandex, mail.com are some of the free services
My personal choice is GMX. although Mail.com is owned by the same company. Being a German company they are bound by German privacy laws. Makes the US laws look very lame indeed.

Thanks for your reply - do any of these allow the use of a Profile Manager, similar to Thunderbird? My wife & I have separate profiles. Unlike the Apple Mail App. where both profiles are in the side pane.
I am now just confused. Each of these providers works with Thunderbird using either IMAP or POP mail protocols. That is the SAME protocol as you are using now. So other than having a different email address they work in Thunderbird exactly as your current account does. With or without multiple profiles. That has nothing to do with what accounts are configured in the profile.

Sorry for the confusion. I was asking if the providers you gave have the ability to use multiple profiles with a Choose User Profile select window , much the same as with Thunderbird?

You asked for mail providers that work in Thunderbird. The one I listed do, although there are many more. They provide mail accounts and a web page to access them from, as well as supporting IMAP and POP mail protocols.
If you are looking for a replacement for Thunderbird (which your enquiry about multiple profiles would indicate) you will be looking for a mail client, not a mail provider. Mail clients are plentiful, if they offer multiple "profiles" I do not know. I use Thunderbird.
For details of what is available I suggest you type "mail client for mac" into a google search box and look at what is offered. It shows me 14. But of those Eudora is obsolete and Postbox is Windows only and based on an old version of Thunderbird.
My apologies - you are right, I am getting myself confused between finding a new email/web mail provider and using the new provider with Thunderbird.
I keep trying to register with GMX both with my info & my wife's info and I get a red message "cant process registration at this time, try again later" I've tried several times over the past 12 hours.
Is there a problem with the site?
From the GMX post I've been reading, GMX is apparently having server issues as well.
