Weird problem with Thunderbird
I just started having a really weird problem. I try to create a new email... or reply to an email... I click on "Write" or "Reply"... nothing happens. On a lark, trying to figure out what was wrong, O moved my cursor over the taskbar icon for Thunderbird and I can see a "Write" window... but it's only half size (see attached image)... I click on it... the write window should show up, but doesn't. I tried minimizing all my other windows/apps... still doesn't show up... I trued rebooting... no good. .. I just tried "Forward"... does it for that as well.. Any ideas what I can do without having to uninstall and reinstall?

I solved the problem. Turns out, it was a conflict with the builtin Calendar and Tasks add-on. While playing around and looking for a setting.. ANY setting that may have affected it... I went to Help --> Restart With Addons Disabled. After Thunderbird restarted, O was presented with the option of disabling all addons (even though the builtin calendar addon was the only one I was using)... and resetting all Settings and Controls... both of which I selected to perform. Thunderbird restarted and Viola! Everything back to normal... minus the calendar and "Tasks and Events" menu item.
Hope this helps someone else!

Woops... evidently my image upload didn't go through... trying again...
re :I click on it... the write window should show up, but doesn't.
And if you double click on it...what happens ?
Sounds like this could be an issue with your task bar and not Thunderbird. Is the 'Always On Top' check box not selected in the Taskbar Properties dialog box?

Same thing... just creates two "write
windows that I can't open.

Uhhhh... no, it is definitely a problem in T-Bird... No other programs are affecteed... and always before, I click on the "Write" button and I go right into the "Write" window to create a new email.
