Sync options (eg history/tabs) got deselected on latest firefox
I've been using sync from its very first version on number of windows PCs and, later on, on my android phone. I had got syncing enabled for everything, apart firefox extensions.
Today I was searching for a password on my work pc firefox (whereas I've got a master password to protect stuff). Just when I was about to pick the information I needed from the firefox embedded lockwise, there was a notification on the bar prompting me to check things up on the sync pages.
Doing so, I noticed that all syncs became disabled! The only firefox section remaining sync'ed was (IIRC) "connections" .
I checked my mobile, to find out that the same thing happened on my sync'ed android firefox. Is this a bug or a feature? Shouldn't we be notified for something so big regarding sync?

Try going to Settings > Sync Settings > Select all the deselected options and restart your browser. Hope this will solve your issue. Have a great day!
Thanks for the pointer, but this is not what I'm asking about here.
I've got a zillion of passwords on Firefox, with no backup. This is a huge change, one that I was not promptly informed off (unless of course it went into the firefox release notes on some version). I should be notified of any change that effectively "breaks" sync. That is, if I didn't see this option, I would stop having sync on history etc on my other devices.
Again, what I'm asking here: is this sync settings "reset" of sorts something made by design on the latest firefox?
If so, would someone care to explain why it was decided so?
If not, would someone suggest whether this should be posted as an issue?
(bump) Anyone?
